Piano Camp!

Piano Camps I & II

For several different reasons, from educationally to  logistically, we have combined Piano Camp I and II. We feel this is in the Piano Camps and Campers best interest. Students will still need to register for Piano I or II based upon their ability/age level. Piano I and II camps will still have different level courses for students to maintain our high quality of piano education. This will, however, give the students a chance to interact with various piano students from across the country at many different age levels. We feel this is an extremely positive change for our Piano Camps and is looking to be one of the most exciting yet. We look forward to seeing you there.

Musical Experiences

Each student will receive three private lessons during their week in camp. Campers should bring literature that is nearly prepared as well as new literature, which they would like to study. In addition, there will be daily classes in music theory and keyboard skills for all new campers. For Piano Camp II campers, students who have completed these courses will be treated to a special seminar on French composers. Further, all campers will take part in a literature class featuring music of the Early Romantic Period. Finally, a recital at the conclusion of each camp will showcase the skills of each student wishing to participate.

Piano Camp I is designed for the younger keyboard student, basically including those students in grades 6-8 who have had at least three years of keyboard training.

Piano Camp II for grades 9-12 extends the curricular offerings for keyboard students, as it is designed to improve current skills and open new horizons.

Scholarships For Piano Campers

A limited number of scholarships are available toward attending the Foster Piano Camps for students entering Grades 6-12 in the Fall. There is a limited amount of financial aid available for pianists in both  camps offered by the Foster Music Camps. For more information, contact
