2008 Foster Music Camps!

Foster Music Camp Steel Drum Workshop June 15 - 21, 2008
Spend an intensive week immersed in steel band's performance and history. The workshop will form Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner bands in daily rehearsals, culminating in a performance at the end of the week. No previous experience necessary, steel drums provided for all participants.

Middle School Band & Strings

Foster Music Camp Middle School Band & Strings June 09 - 13, 2008
This camp is designed for young instrumentalists with one to three years of playing experience. A wide variety of experiences are offered to campers in the Middle School Instrumental Camp including Concert Band, Full Symphony Orchestra, Daily Instrumental Skill development Classes, Daily Small Ensemble, Faculty Recitals, Band and Orchestra Concerts and Small Ensemble Concert. High School Band & Strings

Foster Music Camp High School Band & Strings June 15- 27, 2008
The total camping experience is predicated upon providing a multitude of musical experiences which can assist the high school musician in making decisions about a possible career in music or simply to expand their musical horizons and provide enrichment for future encounters in music. Piano Camp

Foster Music Camp Piano June 15 - 21, 2008
Foster Piano Camps are an exciting and interesting experience for keyboard students. The daily schedule will be highly structured during each week, with classes and lessons designed to improve current skills and open new horizons to the participants. Planned practice times are a part of that schedule. Ample time will exist for recreation and a chance to meet and mix with other students in the Piano Camp and concurrently operating instrumental camps. Guitar Camp NEW!

Foster Guitar Camp June 22 - 27, 2008
Guitar students from all backgrounds are encouraged to attend the EKU Foster Music guitar workshop. Participants will enjoy a week of dedicated guitar study geared towards students age 13 and above. Guitarists will learn fingerboard visualization, theory, harmony, rhythm, and guitar specific music technology. Notation skills are encouraged, but not required. Performances will include various styles of music, including original compositions if applicable. Group sessions and ensembles will be formed according to age and ability. Scholarships are available.
